M109A7
The M109A7 shares
common components with the Bradley Fighting Vehicle such as the engine,
transmission, and tracks. This creates commonality with other systems and
maximizes costs-savings in production, parts inventory, and maintenance
personnel. In October 2013, the Defense Acquisition Board approved the decision
start M109A7 initial production.
